– feel the wind in your face, smell the salt on your tongue, feel the sand between your toes. An exhibition of (Joanna) Kitten at HeArt & Soul Gallery.
In July the HeArt & Soul Gallery changed to a summer-ish venue with lots of sand, palms and some sea moods. Why? Because Joanna Kitten shows her amazing art under the name of the exhibition „Sea Swept“.
Here is your Taxi to Kitten’s exhibition „Sea Swept“.

Sea Swept
The approach of Summer always seems to make me yearn for the sea. The wind in your face, the smell of salt and the feel of the sand between your toes. This exhibition is my response to that. When asked to exhibit at Heart and Soul I found that all my recent pictures seemed on this theme. The pictures are a mix of recent ones and some old favorites on this theme. Most feature me exploring what Second Life has to offer in respect of the sea, there are also a few pure landscapes thrown in as well.
So expect a mixture of colour and black and white, sand, sea, surf, the shrieks of gulls and spectacular towering cloud formations. I am aiming for quite natural compositions. Not something that’s posed, the idea is almost as if you were exploring the beach in the real world.
I hope people enjoy the exhibition and are perhaps inspired to visit the lovely sims were I took them. Without the people who build these things there would be no pictures.
~ Kitten
Kitten’s art drives your soul directly to a warm summer beach. Feeling the breeze, smelling the air. When you look at them, you feel a deep desire to dream of a lonely sandy beach and watch the waves breaking. If you haven’t visited by yourself, you should expirence her art! Kitten is also the owner of her own Gallery: Ammonite Photography & Gallery.

Our good friend Owl Dragonash (you might know her from several art and community events in Second Life) wrote a lovely review about Kitten’s exhibition. You can read it on her block: 🌊 Sea Swept by Kitten at HeArt & Soul Gallery – Owl’s Eye
Kitten’s Biography
Kitten was first drawn to second life photography in 2020 initially by seeing the results produced by entrants in a photography competition at the sim where she works. All her pictures are taken using the Black Dragon Viewer developed by NiranV Dean with editing outside of that using Affinity Photo.
Initially she was drawn to landscape photography and spent her time travelling the grid in search of the perfect shot. However more recently she has been drawn heavily into black and white photography and perhaps more avatar centric pictures. She has had many successful exhibitions including three at the Nitroglobus Gallery, Two at the Kondor Art Center and one at Artsville as well as a retrospective exhibition at Focus.
This is her first exhibition here at the Heart & Soul Gallery.

Memories
The opening party was held on Sunday, July 13th and began with a live concert of the incredibel live Singer Eric Steffensen. He sung a good fitting variety of alternative and indie songs, that perfectly surrounded the scenery . After that, Tom and I get on the stage as LiTo DJ Team and get the crowed dancing to some vibing tunes. At all, it was a great opening with so many friends and new visitiors that wanted to see Looker’s art and enjoyed the time.
Of course we have made some memories:
A short „Overview Video“ made by Tom you can find on Youtube. The Song you hear is original sung by Eric that time!
Thanks for your support, your trust, your patience and of course for reading this! 😉 ♥
We hope you enjoy the exhibiton and take your time there, while visiting HeArt & Soul Gallery!
